Seeking mentors in Global Health? The GHMe workshop at the 4th Global Health Next Generation Network
Also this year, for the fourth time, the beautiful city of Barcelona has been the scene of the Global Health Next Generation Network (GHNGN) annual conference. This year conference, entitled ‘Passionate about Global Health - What’s next?’ focused on career steps for global health students and young professionals to build their professional future. Since its foundation, the GHNGN aims to be the voice of early career professionals in global health and to ensures a place for the next generation in the global health debate.
This year the Global Health Mentorships team was invited to organized a workshop focused on the importance of mentorship for global health career development. One of our Content Writers, Marianna Vitaloni, represented the GHMe team at the conference presenting the GHMe program in front of a deeply motivated and passionate assembly of global health early career professionals. During the workshop we had the possibility to share our vision and mission, present the details of our program and the latest on the content of the modules.
An inspiring and enthusiastic discussion concluded the workshop. Students and young professionals tried to deciphering the skills able to lead the way towards the professional success in global health. Together we discovered how the role of a mentor could be fundamental to walk down this road.
